André Johnson, Senior Graphic Designer at at Red Orange Studio
Creativity and Professionalism With a Dose of Humor

If you hear someone singing or cracking jokes when you enter the studio, it’s most likely André Johnson. He’s the guy who brightens your day – even when you’re determined to be in a bad mood. As senior designer at Red Orange, André puts just as much energy into his work, fueled by a mission to cover the planet with great design and creative ideas. But don’t let his artistic spirit fool you – he’s no stranger to budgets and timelines and is the first to identify efficiencies for the team and clients. André’s committed to achieving great results – and he’s determined to see the possibilities, not the obstacles.

Everyone Deserves Great Design

With more than 13 years of in-house and agency experience, André has worked with a variety of clients on a wide range of projects. One thing he’s learned is that people don’t always know what they want until they see it. While that may frustrate some designers, it motivates André to better understand each client’s business and goals. He is known for doing his research and really getting to know the company and the industry, in just a short amount of time. The result? Let’s just say his designs have moved people to tears – in a good way.

Award Winning Designer With a Heart for Mentorship

You won’t find André boasting about his work that was featured in GD USA’s Packaging Awards or the fact that he was a finalist in the 2012 Democratic National Convention Poster Contest. However, you will find him passing on his wisdom to the next generation of designers. André is a frequent guest speaker at Virginia State University and mentors students in college design programs.

Fun Facts That Might Embarrass André

An only child from Oklahoma City, OK, André is a former football player whose claim to fame is an appearance on HGTV’s House Hunters. He says he can be shy at times, but we don’t see it.
