Red Orange Studio, a professional marketing and creative agency, is growing and we want you to create impact with us! We’re looking for an experienced, confident Senior Web Developer who is ready to take on a new challenge and work with our team of creative professionals.

If you love turning code into websites that respond seamlessly across platforms, solve problems for clients and make an impact for a wide range of brands, you’ll love calling Red Orange home.

Who We’re Looking For

If you’re our developer, you know WordPress inside and out. You’ve coded dozens of custom sites from scratch, yet you know how to leverage hand-picked themes and plugins when necessary. Speaking of plugins, you can engineer those too, if that is the best solution for the client. And when you code… you comment, you document, and you’re a stickler for doing it the right way. You’ve seen one too many poorly built websites that look fine on the front-end but are a complete disaster to edit and maintain on the backend. You take ownership of your work and understand that the way you develop your website effects the rest of your teams’ efforts, the deliverable for the client, and ultimately the experience for the end-user. But just because you avoid shortcuts, doesn’t mean you’re inefficient. You’ve got streamlined processes and curated tools you use to deliver in a timely manner.

Best of all? You love coding, WordPress and helping people.

What The Job Involves:

  • Work with an account manager, senior designers and an art director to develop and customize WordPress websites, plugins, shopping carts, HTML landing pages, third-party and API integrations, HTML5 ads, and custom HTML emails.
  • Work collaboratively with external development teams for larger website projects.
  • Lead the web development process for the company as the in-house resource and chief problem solver.
  • Manage website documentation to include project requirements, release notes, developer guides, checklists, etc.
  • Manage Google Analtyics oversite
  • Develop ADA compliant websites and troubleshoot accessibility issues
  • Provide strategy and execution for hosting and domain setup
  • Manage website maintenance, security and troubleshooting for clients.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of internal websites.
  • Meet with clients and/or the art director to determine the scope of a project.
  • Work from website prototypes in Sketch.
  • Help present work, recommendations and insights to clients.
