Red Orange Studio, a creative agency and certified B Corp based in Richmond, VA, is growing—and we want you to create impact with us! We’re looking for a versatile Digital Graphic Designer who is comfortable exploring AI-enhanced design tools to support our creative work.

This is a part-time position ideal for a candidate who is quick, creative, and committed to quality. The role is remote-friendly, though local applicants are encouraged to apply.

Who We’re Looking For

You’re an early-mid career graphic designer who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and knows how to bring brand consistency across platforms—whether that’s a website banner, a social post, an email or a PowerPoint slide. You’re detail-oriented, solution-focused, and energized by a to-do list that ranges from video editing to creating graphics for newsletters and events.

You’re comfortable designing for both print and digital, fluent in the Adobe Creative Suite and Canva, and eager to deepen your skills in WordPress and AI-driven design tools. You’re the type who spots a typo or alignment issue from a mile away—and knows how to fix it quickly.

What The Job Involves

You’ll be supporting the design and digital communication needs of one of our nonprofit clients who is making a measurable impact on public health across Virginia. Your work will include:

• Designing branded digital graphics for use on websites, emails, social media, presentations, and virtual/in-person events
• Creating or resizing materials for print (posters, signage, flyers, reports)
• Editing video and creating motion graphics for short-form use on digital platforms
• Entering content and optimizing visual elements in WordPress
• Collaborating with our internal team of account managers and strategists to deliver high-quality work on time
• Using tools like Figma, Canva, and Adobe Creative Suite to build production-ready designs
• Supporting accessibility best practices and performance standards for web and social graphics
• Assisting with special projects like annual reports or campaigns as needed

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of professional experience in a graphic design role
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or a related field
• Strong proficiency in Canva, Figma, Adobe Express, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
• Working knowledge of video editing and motion graphics
• Experience designing for both web and print
• Content entry and front-end design experience within WordPress
• Familiarity with email marketing platforms and basic HTML a plus
• Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Collaborative, responsive, and ready to learn
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Passion for purpose-driven work and a desire to make a difference
