The Virginia Zoo embarked on a journey to transform the visitor experience with a $16.2 million expansion that will focus on education and the environment. Red Orange was wild about the opportunity to support their team with a capital campaign logo, nonprofit website and marketing material surrounding their theme of EdVenture & Exploration.
Case for Support Provides Tool for Donor Outreach
Collaborating with the marketing and development teams at The Virginia Zoo, and in conjunction with their nonprofit development consultancy The Curtis Group, the Red Orange team helped create a compelling Case for Support.
The document provided a visual tool for presenting and discussing the need for supporting the zoo’s capital campaign initiatives including the creation of a turtle oasis and a home for one-horned rhinos.
Capital Campaign Microsite Launch
As the campaign reached the public phase, the Virginia Zoo launched a Capital Campaign website designed to engage the community and increase online giving. Playful animal visuals combined with detailed renderings tell a compelling story of how they plan to create a powerful impact and transform the Virginia Zoo for generations to come.
$16.2 Million Capital Campaign Successful
In August 2024, The Virginia Zoo announced they were nearing the end of their largest capital campaign in a decade — $16.2 million. They broke ground on a major expansion including an EdVenture & Exploration Campus focused on wildlife education.
