Special Olympics of Virginia needed a cohesive campaign strategy for their Summer Games. While they easily recruited volunteers and runners, they faced a challenge rallying support from spectators. Red Orange Studio was tasked with creating a campaign theme and a CTA that would drive attendance and create an exciting, inclusive experience for athletes and supporters.

We worked closely with the Special Olympics marketing and communications team to understand their needs and challenges. Our team designed a campaign theme that could inspire athletes and engage the community, providing an energizing rally cry for their 2023 Summer Games. We delivered a toolkit including the campaign tagline, poster design, and a range of creative assets, ensuring the materials were easy to repurpose for future collateral and communications.
Strategic Marketing for Inclusive Events
To align with Special Olympics’ goals, Red Orange developed three distinct campaign themes, each with tailored taglines and mood boards. After presenting the options, we collaborated with Holly and Sean to refine the selected direction, resulting in a toolkit filled with design elements, social graphics, and vector assets. This allowed the client’s internal design team to seamlessly execute and roll out the campaign across platforms.
A Collaborative Campaign Success
The client was thrilled with the final deliverables and immediately began incorporating the new campaign theme, “Everybody Can, Everywhere,” across their channels. The campaign successfully energized both the athletes and supporters, resulting in a more inclusive and impactful event. Final fundraising totals are pending, but the client reported a positive response from their community and partners.
