The Red Orange culture is smart, caring and approachable.
We are committed to providing superior customer service through an unfailing dedication and a great positive attitude. We are passionate about making a difference – for each other, for our clients, and for our community. We’ve created a safe environment that nurtures relationships, builds character, and enhances our unique abilities. And we’re always looking for like-minded creatives and industry experts, even if we’re not currently hiring for a full-time position.
If our culture and core values align with yours, and you’ve got some mad skills, please reach out to our CEO. We love using local freelancers when we can and building relationships for future opportunities.
You do good things. We would love to have you on our team.

People (and Puppy) Perks
Doggie Days
What can we say? We love our pets. They show up on our calls and can sometimes be found snoozing in our office!
Summer Fridays
Each Friday afternoon in the summer we get to take off early for extra weekend chill!
Health Insurance
If we're going to take care of our community, we need to take care of our team first.
Birthdays Off
In addition to vacation and personal time, our people get paid to take their birthday off.
Regular Teambuilding
In a hybrid work environment, we recognize the value in getting together in person to connect and enjoy time away from the office.
Community Outreach
Whether it's painting the walls of a nonprofit office, or cleaning up debris outside, we give back regularly throughout the year.
Passion Projects
Through our PIP Nonprofit Award, our team works with Virginia nonprofits on pro-bono projects that create impact in our community.
Christmas Break
The studio is closed from Christmas Eve through New Year’s Day so we can enjoy paid time off for the holidays with family.
Internship Program
In Fall 2021, Red Orange Studio launched an HBCU Internship Program, formalizing a relationship with Virginia State University, which has since expanded to include students at Norfolk State University. This program involves guest teaching, attending portfolio reviews, and providing a structured work experience for HBCU interns.
Red Orange Studio has had the privilege of hosting more than 20 interns since the business was founded in 2005. We typically open a call for interns twice a year — Fall and Summer.
Internships commonly focus on design, but at times we may accept video, animation, marketing communications or writing interns. Interested students may reach out using the link below and should send a cover letter, resume and link to their online portfolio.
