They came to Red Orange for help redesigning and restructuring their website so they could properly tell the story of these services, navigate their online visitors more easily through their site, as well as truly reflect the DAA brand as it exists today.

The Red Orange team worked collaboratively with the Draper Aden Associates marketing team throughout the web design process, by leveraging their team’s skillset with respect to their budget. Together, we spearheaded the website redesign and worked with the DAA team to thoughtfully reorganize their content in a way that could be easily translated into the new layout. Because DAA wanted to manage their new website internally, Red Orange also helped to instruct members of their team on how to maintain and update their content independently.
Solution
To meet the civil engineering firm’s goals, we strategized and brought forth solutions on how to most effectively reorganize their markets, services and portfolio items, while adding content hierarchy and clarifying their overall navigation. Members of the Red Orange team also worked to coordinate and art direct the homepage photography, shot at three separate DAA job sites in and around the Richmond area. These additions and changes transitioned their content-heavy website into a bold visual statement that could better relate to their audience, bringing to light the context of their work that is often buried beneath the surface.
Outcome
DAA crossed the finish line with a website that was not only more organized, but more visually impactful. The improved navigation, sitemap, content organization and hierarchy now allow DAA to better communicate with its audience while simultaneously allowing its visitors to understand their story and better maneuver throughout the site. A testament to the projects they’ve done and the markets they serve, this website will continue to showcase DAA’s impact and position the firm as the standard for excellence in the civil engineering arena.
