FirstSpark
Creating a New Visual Identity and Website for a Virginia Nonprofit
After completing a brand strategy and naming process, FirstSpark turned to Red Orange to bring their brand to life with a visual identity, fully developed brand style guide and new website. Working hand-in-hand with the client and the team at Brand Federation, our creative team delivered a logo, color palette, fonts and graphic elements that align the FirstSpark visual identity with the brand platform.
Bringing Together a Team of Branding Experts
FirstSpark is known for bringing groups together – policymakers, community leaders, caregivers, parents and educators. This nonprofit rebrand was no exception – they brought together a team of branding experts and creatives to deliver a new visual identity that clarified their position in early childhood education in Virginia. FirstSpark stands shoulder to shoulder with families and educators to ensure every child under five grows up with the foundation they need to realize their full potential.
Nonprofit Rebrand Sparks Change
The FirstSpark rebrand allowed for collaboration, creativity and strategic problem-solving. The new visual identity evokes feelings of warmth, compassion, inclusivity and inspiration. It reflects the growth and development that happens in the crucial early years of a child’s life, highlighting the profound impact of these years on their future. Working toward a brighter future for all children, the FirstSpark ambition is to spark change and build policies that meet the needs of every child.
The FirstSpark brand was launched in May 2023, equipped with a brand book designed to empower the client to produce brand collateral internally with ease and consistency. The style guide included iconography, stationery, PowerPoint presentations and social media graphics along with photography and videography style recommendations.
FirstSpark Website Brings Brand to Life
With various audiences including educators, parents and supporters, FirstSpark needed the website to provide clear and compelling CTAs that direct visitors to the appropriate resources and increase donations. Our UX designer and content strategist team mapped out a site that offers intuitive navigation and tells the story of community impact in a way that is relevant to each audience. Fresh new photography and videography complement the copy and site structure to create an experience that welcomes, inspires and engages visitors.
“We could not be more pleased with our interactions with RedOrange as we transitioned our 12-year-old organization name and brand to something completely new! Their professionalism, attention to detail, and creative genius during our logo and brand book development were invaluable to us.”
